It is beyond belief that such an event has happened and it heralds a black chapter in terrorism. I grant you that there have been atrocities and casualties in other places around the world, but this is by far one the most intricately orchestrated and cowardly attacks on civilians to date.

What upsets me even more is that some of our fellow man took to the streets and cheered when the news broke. For Gods sake, there were even kids cheering these civilian losses, surely this is not right? To the small minority of Palestinians, whom as a whole have religious beliefs that surely cannot condone this act, I say that although I personally sympathise with your own losses in history, this is not the way for humanity to progress at the start of the new millennium - I feel shame for your acts of what can only be momentary madness and pray that you do not let this be a catalyst for misguided teachings to future generations.

Although born a token Roman Catholic, I have gained a respect for many different religious beliefs, through friends, work colleagues and living in a multi-cultural city. Tuesday marked a loss of respect for the beliefs of the some of my fellow city dwellers.

As one person, I obviously cannot stop terrorism or civilian death, but as a world community, I beg that we review our humanity and stop the senseless death of our fellow man
